		<description>Yeah, I realized that after I wrote it.  Still, it bothers me.  Maybe one design would be to clear that mark when you enter an article, but to have the rectangle outlining the current article be a different color based on the status of the article when you entered it?  Hard to say.</description>

		<description>GR used to work as you say, not clearing the &quot;article read&quot; mark until you moved off the article.  The trouble with that was that if only one article is displayed, there was no way to move off it and no way to mark it read, so it would surface every time you checked.  I think the current design, where it says &quot;Your reading list has no unread items&quot;, is better.

Note also that new items don&#039;t show up until Google rereads the feeds; typing &quot;r&quot; does *not* make that happen.

Your other points are well-taken, and hopefully Google will fix them.</description>
