But yes, I share your opinion of GTA3. The first game I played in this series was GTA Vice City. The plot is a bit thin in places but it provided a realistic and compelling sense of time and place that I found quite captivating. GTA:SA continued this approach and in places was truly inspired. (For example, &lt;i&gt;Dance Dance Revolution&lt;/i&gt; with low-riders.)

Somewhat perversely, though, I decided to stop playing GTA:SA partway through and switch to GTA3. I'm not quite sure why; something like saving the best for last, or making sure to eat all of one's vegetables before having dessert. In any case GTA3 is quite boring compared to the others and I eventually stopped playing it entirely.

I'd like to try out GTA:IV but I'm not looking forward to having to purchase new game platform to play it. :-)</description>
