At any given time, I’m normally in the middle of one game that I don’t let Miranda watch; but that slot in my schedule has been open ever since I finished No More Heroes. I was planning to finally get around to playing BioShock, but recent events have rendered my 360 unavailable.
Any suggestions? My PS2 and a Wii are both useable; I’d been planning for some time to get around to Persona 3, but now Persona 4 is about to be released, and my twitter feed was all abuzz about Yakuza 2 not that long ago. And doubtless there are other good ideas that I’m not thinking of. Or maybe I should take a hiatus, and do something else with my time?

I vote for Yakuza 2. I loved it, and I think that it got overlooked hugely…..also, I want people to buy it so that we get a US drop of Yakuza 3! Also, if you’re toying with the idea of a hiatus the Persona games may not be your best bet–they’re great, but they take lots of hours to plow through.
I’m on hiatus myself. Trying to keep up with the Xmas releases and talk totally burned me out about ten hours into Fallout 3. The only thing I’ve played in a week is the Auditorium demo and a little bit of Order Up!

Yeah, your tweets are one of the reasons why I’m seriously considering Yakuza 2: if you, @fullbright, and @brainygamer are all for it, then it’s probably pretty good. And the length of the game is a good argument, too.

I was planning to think about this for a few days; but I found myself playing Persona 3 tonight. Whoops. I’ve been hearing about the Personas for a while, and I figure if I don’t have time to play a long game if I start right before the holidays, when will I have the time? (Of course, it’s a real possibility that the answer is “I should never play really long games!”)

ah, well. Persona 3 is a great game–just be prepared to spend dozens of hours in it! I think that Persona 4 is the game that’ll get me off my hiatus…can’t wait for that.

The first 45 minutes or so did nothing to make me unhappy with my choice: I’ve never played an RPG that felt like that.
